How To Get Back Into “School Mode”

Fall semester has officially begun for most of us and we know starting classes again after months of summer fun is never easy. It can be tough to get back into the right headspace. Here are a few tips to get you back into “school mode” and hit the ground running this semester:

Purchase textbooks and new school supplies.  Hit up those bookstores and office suppliers to purchase new textbooks and school supplies. Nothing beats the fresh feeling of using a brand new notebook or pens and pencils to start the semester off right. Crack open those textbooks and start skimming them to get you into the right frame of mind to read and study, as well as to get a feel for the material that will be covered in the upcoming semester.

Create an academic calendar. Break out the new planners and start organizing the semester. Read through each course’s syllabus and mark important dates. Not only does this keep you organized but it also lets you get a feel for how the semester will pan out in each of your courses, and you will know approximately what your workload will be each week.

Buy some swag. Get excited about kicking off your classes and show some pride by purchasing new merchandise and apparel to wear as you start your new semester.

How do you get back into school mode? We would love to hear your suggestions!
