Bill McClure
Director, Division of Continuing & Professional Education, University of Massachusetts Amherst

Bill McClure is the Director of the Division of Continuing & Professional Education at the University Massachusetts Amherst. He leads a staff of 40 that serve more than 18,000 students/year for 70,000 credit hours. He is responsible for a broad and successful range of credit and non-credit, graduate and undergraduate classes and degrees that emphasize distance education (online) delivery. He has taught business courses for several colleges and universities. He was a career senior officer in the United States Air Force. He earned two master's degrees: Education Administration and Business Administration (MBA). He is the recipient of several continuing education regional and national awards including the "Adelle F. Robertson Professional Continuing Education Award" (University Continuing Education Association - UCEA).
Bill is currently a UCEA commissioner and member of the Board of Directors and previously was the elected president of the Continuing Education Association of New York when he was with Binghamton University (NY). He is the president-elect of the North American Association of Summer Sessions (NAASS). |
