Can Online Learning Help You Switch Careers?

According to a Harris survey, the vast majority of U.S. workers would change careers if they could. The survey reported 54 percent of those in their 40s, 64 percent of 30-somethings, and a staggering 80 percent of those in their 20s expressed the desire to switch careers. Only 14 percent of those surveyed thought they were in the “perfect job.”

But we still want to know, how do they feel about entering the work force? Recent studies have shown that millennials are nervous about their financial future. They are graduating with a pile of student debt, and entering the job force with lower salaries than their parents.

UMass Continues to Rise in the US News & World Report

We are pleased to share US News & World Reports new rankings data in the 2017 Best Colleges guide. UMass Amherst came in at number 27 of the nation’s best public universities list which put the university in the top 30 for the fourth year in a row. The prestigious list ranks more than 600 public, four-year universities in the country.

Additionally, UMass Amherst advanced from number 91 to 74 in the Best National Universities category which consists of 310 public, private and for-profit institutions. The rankings are based on a variety of weighted factors:

National Distance Learning Week

In the wake of this week’s presidential election the majority of the American populace, regardless of their political affiliation, is simply happy that this long and exhausting election season is behind us.
