Offered through The UMass Boston Graduate College of Education and supported by the Northeast Regional Center for Vision Education (NERCVE), this certification is recommended to students who are passionate about assisting individuals who are blind/visually impaired reach their goal of becoming safe, efficient, and independent travelers.

The Program. The Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling program has been designed to transform students into professional counseling practitioners. Upon graduation, students will be prepared for licensure though the MA Board of Allied Health Professions.

The Program. The master’s program in applied linguistics through UMassOnline is created to enable students to understand difficulties within the study of a language to better prepare them to teach a language.  The program focuses on both theory and practice including psycholinguistics, ESL/EFL methodologies, and cross cultural studies.

The University of Massachusetts Boston's 15 credit online Graduate Certificate in Evaluation Research is designed to provide a coherent body of knowledge in the fundamentals of systematic evaluation and exposure to  cutting-edge knowledge. This certificate prepares individuals to evaluate programs, practices and institutions in a broad array of fields, including education, health and human services, criminal justice and community  development and planning.

The University of Massachusetts proudly sent off another successful class of graduates earlier this year. Commencement is always such a special time when families and friends gather to celebrate the academic achievements of their loved ones. Many members of the staff at UMassOnline had the chance to attend the on-campus commencement ceremonies this year and connect with the graduates on their big day.
