This course provides an opportunity to apply the techniques and models learnt in the corporate finance course (SCH-MGMT 640) to real world investment decision making situations. Investment strategies may be implemented by individual investors or institutional investors such as hedge funds, pension funds, endowments and foundations. The material will be drawn from several cases developed by the Harvard business faculty. Topics will include capital budgeting, revenue classifications, endowment investment policies, short selling, leveraged buyouts and real estate. This course will require a good amount of time in solving the case problems and making presentations written form. The students will analyze the cases in a financial strategic context and give recommendations. Part of the Isenberg MBA program.
