This course explores issues in emerging best practices for operating a business in the online environments of today. Specifically, this course will explore the collection, measurement and analysis of Internet information using Google Analytics for the purposes of improving the customer online experience. We will also explore how web analytics can fit into an organization?s broader marketing services. The major objective is to allow for a practical and applied learning environment. Specifically you will: 1. Understand the business value of web analytics. 2. Understand the purpose of a content management system. 3. Be able to plan, execute and manage a web analytic strategy using Google Analytics. 4. Understand current online advertising systems (e.g., Google AdWords). 5. Understand the basic concept involved with search engine rankings. 6. Be able to suggest techniques to optimize web pages for search engine and ad traffic. Students will be granted access to a live Google Analytics Profile for hands-on exploration and assignment completion. Part of the Isenberg MBA Program.
