Calculus II

The definite integral, techniques of integration, and applications to physics, chemistry and engineering. Sequences, series and power series. Taylor and MacLaurin series. Students expected to have and use a Texas Instruments 86 graphics, programmable calculator. Recommended: MATH 131 or equivalent.
Note: Because this course presupposes knowledge of basic math skills, it will satisfy the R1 requirement upon successful completion
The Mathematics and Statistics department, in accordance with the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, continues to promote the integrity and security of its courses. Students who enroll in this online course will have to take the midterm and the final exam on campus during the regularly scheduled in-person exam, OR with an approved proctor during the course's midterm and final exam timeframe. All outside proctors must be approved by the instructor and math department no later than the last day of add drop for the course.  Proctors may include, but are not necessarily limited to, an accredited university instructor, an accredited testing center, or an approved proctoring center such as a high school with faculty or librarian as proctor.
