Intro/Anatomy and Physiology

This course is designed to introduce individuals to the general concepts necessary to prepare for a two-semester lab course in Anatomy and Physiology. An introduction to anatomical language, general biochemical principles and cellular processes will be covered before reviewing selected body systems. The course will examine the general components and functions of the muscular, skeletal, nervous, cardiorespiratory, lymphatic, digestive, and urinary systems. The focus of the course will be to provide a foundation to build upon when taking the upper level Anatomy and Physiology lab courses.
