ST - Behavior Management in Children

This course is designed to explore the foundations and principles ofchildren's behavior. We will start with an overview of early childhooddevelopment and how development influences behavior.  Students will acquire a broad understanding of cognitive/behavioral strategies in a varitey of contexts and the variables that influence behavior and enhance learning. An emphasis will be placed on strategies that promote positive interaction, pro-social behavior, positive self-esteem, an awareness of individual differences and healthy relationships.
