Through this course, participants will explore approaches to conducting research within a specific learning environment, including qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods, and the associated design components of each. By the end of this course, participants will develop and implement an original Practitioner Research plan to examine the utility of instructional strategies; adjustments to the physical learning environment, routines and structures; communication and interaction; systematic organizational changes; or other practices aimed at improving academic performance and/or social emotional learning behavior for a diverse group of children and youth, including those who have experienced trauma.
