Get the Best of Both Worlds, Online AND In Person with UMass Lowell's New Blended Master's Degree Program in Health Management & Policy

Offered through UMass Lowell's School of Health and Environment, this multidisciplinary program is designed to produce health care managers and policy professionals with the knowledge and expertise that are essential to the delivery of high quality, cost-effective health services, as well as the design, analysis and evaluation of public health and private sector health policies. The program focuses on strategies and methods that positively contribute to the improvement of health, particularly in areas of critical health needs and underserved populations.

Courses in this blended program feature a combination of face-to-face and online classes, maximizing the students' convenience, while still allowing them the opportunity to interact with their faculty and fellow students in person.

Please note: the blended learning format requires students to attend in-person, face-to-face sessions at select locations in Massachusetts in addition to the online sessions.

Concentrations are available in:

  • Health Management
  • Health Informatics
  • Health Policy

Graduate Certificate Programs
In addition to the 12-course master's degree program, UMass Lowell offers three 4-course, graduate-level certificate programs in:

  • Health Care Management
  • Health Informatics
  • Health Policy

Students who successfully complete one of these three certificate programs can also count the certificate courses toward the master's degree in Health Management & Policy.

This program is funded in part by a grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.
