The Graduate Certificate in Health Policy is a blended format certificate program designed for students pursuing careers in public health and related health system decision-making, health care advocacy, health policy research, and health promotion.
Courses in this blended program feature a combination of face-to-face and online classes, maximizing the students' convenience, while still allowing them the opportunity to interact with their faculty and fellow students in person.
Many students complete the certificate program before seeking admission into UMass Lowell's Master's Degree Program in Health Management and Policy, and the certificate courses they have taken are then accepted as credits toward their master's degree. Additionally, students who complete the certificate program with a GPA of 3.5 or better are not required to complete the GRE to apply for admission into the master's degree program.
This program is funded in part by a grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.
