Ranked in Top Ten Best by Princeton Review

Princeton Review The UMass Amherst Isenberg School of Management Online Part-Time MBA program is the most flexible option for today's professional. As one of the first major accredited business schools to pioneer offering graduate education online, we are recognized today as a leader in offering a high quality MBA program that can be taken entirely online.

As the flagship campus for the University of Massachusetts, we strive to provide our students with the best learning experience possible. We are honored to have been ranked #5 in the Northeast and #29 in the country by Business Week’s "Top Part-Time MBA Programs" rankings (2007), and for the past three years, Princeton Review ranks the UMass Amherst Isenberg MBA program #4 Best Professors.

Whether you take courses at one of our satellite campus locations or online, you will be taught by the same world renowned Isenberg faculty that teach in our full-time MBA program.

Online Curriculum

The Online Part-Time MBA program is a 37 credit, self-paced program that consists of 11 core courses and 3 elective credits. The entire core curriculum is offered online every Spring, Summer, and Fall semester with the largest number of elective courses offered during our accelerated January semester.

Online courses are taught asynchronous meaning you can access your coursework at any time of the day or week - there is no campus residency requirement so you can complete your degree online from anywhere in the world - you choose the time that works best for you. This approach is attracting students from all 50 states and 15 foreign countries.

Students who live in the New England area also have the option of taking Part-Time MBA courses at one of our three Massachusetts satellite campus locations; evenings in Shrewsbury and Holyoke, or weekends in Pittsfield.

Take Two Courses Before Applying

As a non-degree student (not yet formally accepted in the program), you can take two courses (typically 6 credits) before applying. This gives you the opportunity to experience courses in the Part-Time MBA Program and see if it’s a good fit with you personal and professional goals. For assistance with choosing your courses or for more information, please contact the UMass Amherst Isenberg Graduate Programs Office.
