The Casino Management Certificate is designed to provide students with an opportunity to learn the casino industry business, to learn about the legal and regulatory aspects of gaming, and to recognize the relationship of the casino industry to the overall tourism environment.

Certificate Requirements:

The Certificate in Casino Management requires completion of five courses:
1. HT-MGT 317 Casino Management
2. HT-MGT 318 Casino Products, Protection and Probability
3. HT-MGT 334 Event Management
4. HT-MGT 336 Club Management
5. HT-MGT 419 Gaming and Social Policy

All certificate programs are available to non-matriculated students who are seeking entry into the tourism industry, as well as to employees and supervisory staff currently in the tourism and hospitality industry who are seeking skills upgrading, or advancement into supervisory or management position. With the completion of three courses (HTM 317 Casino Management, HTM 318 Casino Products, Protection and Probability, and HTM 419 Gaming and Social Policy), you will receive a Certificate in Casino Management.

Availability of financial aid varies depending on matriculation and course status. Please check with your program manager or advisor to determine your eligibility. Generally, if you are matriculated in a degree program and are enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits each semester, you may qualify for financial aid. Please review our Financial Aid Checklist below.

• When you register for classes, please contact the Continuing Education Business Office (413-545-0337) to let them know you that you have applied/are applying for financial aid. Also, it is in your best interest to register for your classes either by phone or fax (413-545-3653 ph; 413-545-0513 fax). If you do not intend to apply for financial aid, you can register online.
