The Amherst Online RN to BS Program has won the 2001 New England Continuing Education Faculty Award, and the New England Continuing Education Student Award in 2005. The Program prepares nurses for a successful career in healthcare. With the many changes taking place within the nursing profession, nurses need the skills to advance their careers and become leaders nursing. In addition to practicum, coursework includes: nursing research, cultural diversity issues, community focused nursing, management, and writing in nursing.
The online RN to BS program is learner-centered and combines Web-based instruction and student tailored practice to meet the needs of busy registered nurses. Online nursing courses offer the flexibility to study anytime - anywhere. Clinical practica are offered at locations convenient to home.

Admission to the RN to BS Online Nursing Mobility Track requires 1. a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, 2. Current R.N. licensure 3. *C or better in all pre-requisite courses, 4. Successful completion of the NLN Acceleration Challenge Exam (ACE) II- up to 30 credits, if needed, to complete the minimum of 45 residence credits; 45th percentile is the passing score for ACE exams. 5. Completion of all 63 required non-nursing credits, including a grade of C or better in all seven nursing prerequisites. 3. Include a one page essay about professional practice and two letters of recommendation.
4. Request official transcripts from each college or university you have attended.
5. A copy of current RN nursing license.
