UWW's online bachelor's focused in translation and interpreting is designed for students with high proficiency in English and at least one Language Other Than English (LOTE) who are interested in developing language mediation skills to meet the needs of an increasingly globalized world. No previous translation and interpreting experience is required.

Tuition/Fees: 

As part of a public state university, UMass Amherst University Without Walls (UWW) is committed to providing you with a great education and helping you save time and money. By offering a generous transfer credit policy and many creative and cost effective ways to earn credit, we are committed to helping you finish your bachelor's degree online as quickly as possible without unnecessary expense to you and your family.

The UWW core courses are $390 per credit. Per credit costs vary by department with costs ranging from $390 per credit to $525 per credit. As a UMass UWW student you will develop your program of study- called a concentration- by taking courses offered by various departments throughout the university.

Credits awarded for life and work experience are a fraction of the cost of course credits.

Admissions Requirements

To be considered for admission, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

•    A minimum of 12 college credits
•    A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA
•    You have not already earned a bachelor's degree from a U.S. college or university.
•    You do not reside in Alabama, Arkansas or Oregon. 

Former UMass Amherst students

You are exempt from the 2.0 GPA requirement. We can help you finish what you started. Welcome back.
