Options: Students can choose to complete the program 100% online or for those in the Massachusetts area, the option to take classes online and in-person at one of our three satellite locations: Springfield, Shrewsbury, and Boston.

Curriculum: Our curriculum instills quantitative skills and business acumen, and is delivered by the same accomplished faculty as our onsite classes. The Isenberg Online MBA can be completed in 37 credits (39 credits without prior business coursework). Core courses are offered online every Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer. If you are interested in specializing in a certain area, we have focus areas in Business Analytics, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Health Care Administration, Marketing and Sport Management.

You have the option to take two classes (6 credits) before applying for your MBA, or while your application is being processed.


Course registration for all Isenberg online courses is administered by UMass Amherst University Without Walls (formerly known as CPE).

Admission to the Isenberg Online MBA Program is based on several criteria: Academic history, GMAT or GRE performance, motivation, aptitude for graduate-level work, and professional experience (3+ years post undergraduate work experience required) are all taken into consideration. No one academic background is favored in the selection of candidates.

Isenberg Online MBA admission requirements: an undergraduate degree from an accredited US institution (or its equivalent), online application and $80 fee, personal essay, official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended, two letters of recommendation (professional preferred), resume/CV, official Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) OR Graduate Records Examination (GRE) score, and TOEFL score (if applicable).

NEW: Isenberg MBA will be granting GMAT waivers for those candidates who have 10+ years of post-undergraduate professional experience. GMAT waivers also apply to applicants who have earned either: 1) a Master’s Degree from a US accredited institution with an overall GPA of 3.5 or above and 5+ years’ work experience, or 2) a Doctoral Degree (JD, MD, PhD, or for foreign medical graduates with an ECFMG or Fifth Pathway).

Application deadlines: June 1 for fall, October 1 for spring, and February 1 for summer.
