The University of Massachusetts Lowell’s Online Master of Science in Finance is a 10-course master's degree program designed to provide students with a deeper understanding of how financial markets work, and to prepare graduates for careers in corporate finance and financial management.
Offered by UMass Lowell’s Manning School of Business, this master’s degree program is available entirely online, providing a convenient format for busy professionals who may be juggling work and family responsibilities. Taught by world-class faculty from the Manning School of Business Finance Department, courses in this graduate degree program allow students to pursue in-depth study in topics such as portfolio management, global financial markets, financial risk management and investment analysis.
Courses are available throughout the year, during the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters. You can take one course per semester or more, depending on your own personal time constraints.

Applications are accepted and processed year-round. To be considered for admission to this program, applicants must have earned an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution of higher education with a final cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
All applicants must submit the following:
- A completed application, plus the $50 application fee
- A one-page statement of purpose/essay, highlighting your academic and career goals
- Letters of recommendation (3)
- Official undergraduate transcripts
- Official test scores for the GMAT, with a minimum score of 500. GMAT waiver available.
- TOEFL for international students: 600+ paper-based, 250+ computer-based, or 100+ Internet-based.
