About: 

In the UMass Amherst School of Public Policy’s Master of Public Policy program, students gain the knowledge, skills, and practical experience to become a leader in the nonprofit, public, or private sector while creating meaningful social change.

Our mix of online and in-person classes allows students to move quickly toward their professional goals with the skills needed to fuel their success. Internships and client projects provide invaluable real-world experience.

We offer generous grants to both in-and out-of-state students, making the MPP one of the most affordable public policy degrees in the region.

There is also a one-time $507 Graduate Registrar's Service Fee, which is a one-time fee paid by all entering matriculated graduate students.

Admissions: 
  • The Master of Public Policy is open to students with a bachelor's degree in any field.
  • The GRE is optional.
  • Open to full-and part-time students.
