University of Massachusetts Boston School for Global Inclusion and Social Development

The School for Global Inclusion and Social Development (SGISD) focuses on social justice and economic development from an international perspective. In our interconnected world, understanding the causes of social exclusion is crucial. Our emphasis is on groups of people who are excluded from communities here in the U.S. and abroad, due to gender, ethnicity, age, economic status, and other conditions.

Classes at the School for Global Inclusion and Social Development (SGISD) focus on research-supported practices that increase inclusion regionally, nationally, and around the world. Instruction is delivered on campus, online, and through international exchange programs.
