Tim Lambert grew up in southern England and after finishing school and an apprenticeship in Carpentry and Joinery, he came to America. In 1997, he enrolled at Bunker Hill Community College, graduating with an Associates Degree in Media Technology.
While he was at Bunker Hill, he produced promotional materials and instructor media for the learning environment. He also provided support for the Video Conferencing systems used in the Distance Learning department, transitioning the video conferencing systems from a fiber ring to an ATM based system and then to an IP and ISDN system. The Bunker Hill Online environment has become one of the most successful in the Massachusetts State and Community College system. Tim set up, maintained and customized this system along with providing support to staff, instructors, and students.
Tim also has worked as a freelance media producer. He negotiated an independent contract with McGraw Hill to design and produce two interactive CDs for a new line of English as Second Language textbooks.
Tim joined UMassOnline at the beginning of 2007. He is married and has two young sons.
