Congratulations to UMassOnline Founder Jack Wilson!

We are pleased to share with you that Jack Wilson, UMassOnline founder/former CEO and former UMass President is being recognized for his dedication and hard work in the education field. Jack was named to the Online Learning Consortiums (OLC) 2015 class of fellows. The OLC is a member-sustained organization that works to advance online learning by offering resources like original research, instruction, publications and conferences.

Jack is one of the four new members to the OLC. He is being rewarded for his contribution in advancing the quality and scale of online and blended education, and will be recognized in a ceremony in Orlando this fall.

For Jack to be acknowledged and honored this way, means a great deal to us and the UMass community.  Under Jack’s leadership, he took UMass and UMassOnline to the next level.  After he founded UMassOnline in 2001, he served as the CEO until 2003. He then went on to serve as president of the UMass system until 2011.

Congratulations, Jack! UMassOnline wouldn’t be so highly regarded if it weren’t for your vision and leadership.
