UMass Online Program Spotlight: BA, Human Services Concentrations

Many people see human service jobs, such as victim advocacy or social work as a calling. One thing is certain; the need to help others is growing exponentially.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, more than a half million career opportunities in human services will be created in the next decade, making it one of the nation’s fastest growing sectors of the economy.

Serving the need, UMass offers a bachelor’s degree with a focus in human services completely online through UMass Amherst.  This program is tailored to individuals interested in advancing their career in human services with the flexibility of all classes online.

For more than 40 years, the UMass Amherst University Without Walls has helped adults to complete their first bachelor’s degree, design their own program of study in human services and provide outstanding one-on-one support throughout the online program.

With the demand for human and social services jobs anticipated to spike, completing this degree will give students an opportunity to either advance or begin their career in the field.
