UMass Continues to Rise in the US News & World Report

We are pleased to share US News & World Reports new rankings data in the 2017 Best Colleges guide. UMass Amherst came in at number 27 of the nation’s best public universities list which put the university in the top 30 for the fourth year in a row. The prestigious list ranks more than 600 public, four-year universities in the country.

Additionally, UMass Amherst advanced from number 91 to 74 in the Best National Universities category which consists of 310 public, private and for-profit institutions. The rankings are based on a variety of weighted factors:

National Distance Learning Week

In the wake of this week’s presidential election the majority of the American populace, regardless of their political affiliation, is simply happy that this long and exhausting election season is behind us. So in the spirit of moving forward, here is some non-political news to enjoy: it is National Distance Learning Week!  All week we have been celebrating students who benefit from the flexibility of online learning to receive a quality education and work towards their degree.
