Our online bachelor's focused in translation and interpreting is designed for students with high proficiency in English and at least one Language Other Than English (LOTE) who are interested in developing language mediation skills to meet the needs of an increasingly globalized world. No previous translation and interpreting experience is required.

As part of a public university, the UMass Amherst University Without Walls Interdisciplinary Studies degree completion program is committed to providing you with a great education and helping you save time and money. By offering a generous transfer credit policy and many creative and cost effective ways to earn credit, we are committed to helping you finish your bachelor's degree online as quickly as possible without unnecessary expense to you and your family.
Online, undergraduate, University+ courses are $425 per credit. Credits awarded for life and work experience are a fraction of the cost of course credits.

Admissions Requirements
To be considered for admission, you must meet the following minimum requirements:
•   A minimum of 12 college credits
•   A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA
•   You have not already earned a bachelor's degree from a U.S. college or university.
Former UMass Amherst students
You are exempt from the minimum GPA and credit requirements. We can help you finish what you started. Welcome back.Â
